OGLE-I Contact Binary Stars Catalog: EWa type stars

This directory contains:

README      - this file
EWa.all     - table with catalog data for all EWa contact binaries found
              in OGLE-I data. See below for catalog format details
EWa.new     - table with catalog data for newly found EWa contact binaries
EWa.old     - table with catalog data for EWa contact binaries present
              in the first catalog of OGLE-I variable stars
fcharts/    - subdirectory with finding charts of all EWa type binaries:
              FIELD_STARNO.fts.gz and FIELD_STARNO.ps.gz files contain
              60"x60" subframe centered on the star in FITS and Postscript
              format, respectively (gzipped)
phot/       - subdirectory with photometry of all EWa type binaries:
              FIELD_STARNO_I.dat and FIELD_STARNO_V.dat files contain
              calibrated photometry (Julian Date, magnitude and its error)
              in I and V filters, respectively. Some stars lack V data.

Catalog data table contains following data. Stars are sorted by period.

Column Description

  1   OGLE-I field name
  2   Star no. in the OGLE-I database
  3   R.A. (J2000)
  4   Dec. (J2000)
  5   calibrated I mag
  6   calibrated V-I color (9.99 if no data in V available for a star;
      I magnitude for these stars was calibrated with typical value of V-I=1.0)
  7   period in days
  8   type classification

additionally, EWa.old file contains extra column:

  9   cross identification with first edition of OGLE-I variable stars catalog


REMARK: One EWs star survived all checks and entered the catalog twice,
with two different period values:
